On December 30, 2006, Sy Smith performed a live show at Santa Monica, California's famed Temple Bar. Accompanied by a 9-piece band, Smith performed a total of 9 songs, including 6 from her widely-acclaimed album, The Syberspace Social. The concert was directed by Shawn Carter Peterson. Special guests including R&B singer Raheem DeVaughn and rapper E Reece. And music aficionados may recognize a young up-and-coming bassist by the name of Thundercat holding down the low end and a young Kamasi Washington on sax too! Sy does tributes to Lyn Collins with the selection "Think (About It)" and Billie Holiday with Good Morning Heartache. This energetic concert is also spliced with some backstage shots and intimate moments of Sy getting ready for the show and being interviewed. A really nice touch for this collector's item!
